Human Apoptosis Inducing Factor ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Apoptosis Inducing Factor (AIF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated anti-AIF detection antibody, and an HRP-avidin conjugate visualised with TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.064 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 h 30 min. Kit components are stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed.

Reported recovery ranges are 80–102% for serum (average 91%), 81–100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%), and 80–89% for heparin plasma (average 84%). Sample dilution linearity has been demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions, with recoveries of 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, and 92–97% respectively for serum (n=5); 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, and 79–108% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, and 89–91% for heparin plasma (n=5).
