Human Apolipoprotein L ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA is supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Apolipoprotein L1/APOL1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) onto which an antibody specific for Apolipoprotein L1/APOL1 has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; after washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Apolipoprotein L1/APOL1 Antibody binds the target, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added to visualise the enzymatic reaction; the resulting blue product turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with the density of yellow proportional to the amount of target captured. Absorbance is read at 450nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Sensitivity is <0.19 ng/ml with a measuring range of 0.468–30 ng/ml. Reported recovery ranges are 80–102% (average 91%, n=5) for serum, 81–100% (average 90%, n=5) for EDTA plasma, and 80–89% (average 84%, n=5) for heparin plasma. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed; do not use past the expiration date.
