Human Apolipoprotein E ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Apolipoprotein E in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), with a biotinylated anti-Apolipoprotein E antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate; the signal is developed using TMB substrate and read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The working range is 23.4–1500 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <8.47 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. In spiked recovery testing, serum samples gave 80–102% (average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma 81–100% (average 90%, n=5), and Heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%, n=5). Linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma, and Heparin plasma.

Provided components include the pre-coated microplate, two vials of lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution, and plate sealers. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed in the manual, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
