Human Apolipoprotein E ELISA Kit

A quantitative sandwich ELISA designed for the in vitro measurement of human Apolipoprotein E in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The kit is offered by Antibodies.com within their Assays and Kits range and uses a colorimetric microplate format. A monoclonal antibody specific for human Apo E is pre‑immobilised on the microwells; standards or samples are added, followed by a biotin‑linked monoclonal antibody specific for Apo E, and any bound analyte is detected with streptavidin‑HRP. After washing, a substrate solution reacts with HRP, the colour development is stopped with acid, and the optical density is read on a microplate reader.

The antibody pair recognises both native and recombinant human Apo E and the kit has shown no significant cross‑reactivity. Assay sensitivity is 1.71 pg/ml with a working range of 78.13 – 5000 pg/ml. Components should be stored at +4°C and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
