Human Apolipoprotein D ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Human Apolipoprotein D ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Apolipoprotein D in cell culture supernatant, serum, and plasma. The assay is based on the quantitative sandwich ELISA technique, in which a monoclonal antibody specific for human Apo D is immobilized onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for Apo D. After incubation and washing, streptavidin-HRP is added, and a substrate solution reacts with HRP to develop colour in proportion to the amount of Apo D bound. The colour development is stopped with acid and the optical density is measured with a microplate reader.

The kit can assay both native and recombinant human Apo D and has shown no significant cross-reactivity. The reported assay range is 625 – 40000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 25.67 pg/ml. The detection method is colorimetric and the assay is run on a microplate platform. Reagents should be stored at +4°C and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
