Human Apolipoprotein C3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Apolipoprotein C3 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. An antibody specific for Apolipoprotein C3 is immobilised on the plate; standards and test samples are added, the analyte is bound by the immobilised antibody, and detection is achieved with a biotinylated anti-Apolipoprotein C3 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction, producing a yellow product after addition of stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and is proportional to the Apolipoprotein C3 concentration, which is calculated against a standard curve.

The reported assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.138 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery has been characterised across sample matrices, with mean recoveries of 91% in serum (range 80-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Kit components are stored at +4 °C or -20 °C as indicated on the individual vial labels, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
