Human Apolipoprotein C1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com with reactivity for human samples is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Apolipoprotein CI/Apo-CI in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using an antibody specific for Apolipoprotein CI/Apo-CI pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, with bound target detected via a Biotinylated Anti-Apolipoprotein CI/Apo-CI Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate, then visualised with TMB substrate. The density of the yellow colour produced after addition of acidic stop solution is proportional to the amount of target captured, and concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The reported sensitivity is <2.2 ng/ml and the assay range is 4.68-300 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. The platform is a pre-coated microplate of 12 x 8 well strips, read on a colourmetric microplate reader. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Observed recovery values in spiked samples were: serum n=5, range 80%-102%, average 91%; EDTA plasma n=5, range 81%-100%, average 90%; heparin plasma n=5, range 80%-89%, average 84%. Dilution linearity recoveries at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 were: serum 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%; EDTA plasma 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%; heparin plasma 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%.
