Human Apolipoprotein A5 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Apolipoprotein A V/APOA5 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for Apolipoprotein A V/APOA5 pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are added and the target is captured by the immobilized antibody, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Apolipoprotein A V/APOA5 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added; the HRP enzymatic reaction is catalysed to produce a blue-coloured product which changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The concentration of Apolipoprotein A V/APOA5 is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to a standard curve.

The quantitative range is 125-8000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 26.73 pg/ml, and the assay time is 4h 30m. Average recovery is 91% in serum (range 80%-102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, n=5). Linear dilution recovery values across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions are reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
