Human Apolipoprotein A1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Apolipoprotein A1. The assay is intended for cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma samples and can measure both native and recombinant human Apo A1, with no significant cross-reactivity reported. Reactivity is limited to human samples.

The kit uses a quantitative sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay format. A monoclonal antibody specific for human Apo A1 is immobilised on microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by addition of a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for Apo A1. Any unbound substances are removed by washing, and streptavidin-HRP is then added. Substrate reacts with HRP and colour develops in proportion to the amount of Apo A1 bound. The reaction is stopped with acid and optical density is measured on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard curve spans 3.13 – 200 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.73 ng/ml. Components should be stored at +4°C and not used past the expiration date.
