Human Apelin 36 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Apelin 36 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The test uses a competitive enzyme immunoassay format on a pre-coated microplate, where Apelin 36 in the sample or standard competes with immobilised antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-Apelin 36 Antibody. Detection relies on an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour inversely proportional to analyte concentration, which is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The reported sensitivity is 12.58 pg/ml, with a measuring range of 46.8-3000 pg/ml and a total assay time of 2h 30m. Reported average recoveries were 91% in serum (range 83%-100%, n=5), 94% in EDTA plasma (range 91%-98%, n=5) and 94% in heparin plasma (range 90%-99%, n=5).
