Description

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids [S1].

The assay employs a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with AMH antigen. During incubation, AMH present in the samples or standards competes with the immobilized antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-AMH Antibody. Unbound antibody is removed by washing, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate is then added. TMB substrate is used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is inversely proportional to the AMH concentration, which is calculated from O.D. absorbance at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader [S1].

Reported performance figures include a product range of 46.8–3000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <23.2 pg/ml [S1]. Recovery in serum averaged 91% (range 80%–102%, n=5), in EDTA plasma 90% (81%–100%), and in heparin plasma 84% (80%–89%) [S1]. Dilution linearity data across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions is reported for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma [S1]. Total assay time is 2h 30m [S1]. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date [S1].
