Human Angiotensin II ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Angiotensin II in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit is configured for human samples, with reactivity directed against the Angiotensin II target in a competitive immunoassay format.

The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) bearing immobilised Angiotensin II antigen. During incubation, Angiotensin II present in samples or standards competes with the plate-bound antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-Angiotensin II antibody. After washing, an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added, followed by TMB substrate; the resulting colour change is inversely proportional to analyte concentration and is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Sample recovery has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across a range of dilutions.

Reported sensitivity is <1.13 pg/ml, with an assay range of 3.12–200 pg/ml. Total assay time is approximately 2h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated on the component labels, and the product should not be used past its stated expiration date.
