Human Angiotensin I Converting Enzyme ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human ACE (Angiotensin I Converting Enzyme) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) together with a biotinylated anti-ACE detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow after addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay covers a measuring range of 0.39-25 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.18 ng/ml, and the total protocol takes 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been validated in serum (range 80%-102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity has likewise been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5).

Kit reagents include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
