Human Angiotensin 1-9 ELISA Kit

A competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Angiotensin 1-9. The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed for human samples.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate platform arranged as 12 x 8 well strips bearing immobilised Angiotensin 1-9 antigen. During incubation, Angiotensin 1-9 present in samples or standards competes with the fixed antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-Angiotensin 1-9 Antibody. After washing to remove unbound antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added, and bound conjugate is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of yellow colour is inversely proportional to the analyte concentration, and absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance includes a product range of 23.4-1500 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 7.4 pg/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 2 h 30 min. Validation recovery averaged 92% (range 82-102%) in serum (n=5), 96% (range 90-102%) in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 94% (range 88-100%) in heparin plasma (n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
