Human Angiopoietin Like Protein 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Angiopoietin Like Protein 2 (ANGPTL2/ARP2). The kit is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and the absorbance is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated microplate onto which an antibody specific for ANGPTL2/ARP2 has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and the analyte is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-ANGPTL2/ARP2 Antibody binds the captured material, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, with the optical density at 450 nm being proportional to the amount of ANGPTL2/ARP2 captured in each well.

Quantitative specifications include a product range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.134 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes and colorimetric detection. Reported recovery values (n=5) for undiluted samples are 80%-102% (average 91%) in serum, 81%-101% (average 91%) in EDTA plasma and 80%-89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma. Dilution linearity is also reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for the same three sample types (n=5 each). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used after its expiration date.
