Human Amyloid Precursor Protein ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Amyloid Precursor Protein in serum, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) read colorimetrically at 450 nm, with a total assay time of 4h 30m.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the product range is 78.1-5000 pg/ml and the sensitivity is <35 pg/ml. Sample recovery has been validated in serum (80%-102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (81%-100%, average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma (80%-89%, average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity has been demonstrated in serum (87-91% at 1:2, 87-107% at 1:4, 74-101% at 1:8, 92-97% at 1:16, n=5), EDTA plasma (90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%), and heparin plasma (84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated.

The assay employs an immobilised capture antibody, a biotinylated detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate with TMB substrate; colour intensity is proportional to Amyloid Precursor Protein concentration in each well and is quantified against a standard curve.
