Human Amyloid Beta Precursor Like Protein 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human APLP1 (Amyloid Beta Precursor Like Protein 1) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for APLP1 pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-APLP1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After incubation and washing, a TMB substrate is added to visualise the enzymatic reaction; the resulting colour is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The assay has a reported measurement range of 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.118 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. It is intended for use with a colorimetric microplate reader. Reported recovery values are 80-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Linearity data for sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 are provided across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma sample types.

Kit contents include a pre-coated 96 well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and adhesive plate sealers.
