Human Aminolevulinate Delta Dehydratase ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Aminolevulinate Delta Dehydratase (ALAD) in serum, erythrocyte lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay is read using a colorimetric microplate reader and is built on a pre-coated microplate platform.

According to the manufacturer, the kit has a stated assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.128 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

The principle of the assay uses an antibody specific for ALAD pre-coated onto the plate. Standards and samples are added, followed by washing and incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-ALAD Antibody. An HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate are then used, producing a yellow colour proportional to ALAD concentration, which is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.
