Human Aminoadipate Aminotransferase ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human KAT2/AadAT (Aminoadipate Aminotransferase) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with detection performed on a colorimetric microplate reader measuring absorbance at 450 nm.

An antibody specific for KAT2/AadAT is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added and any analyte present is captured. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-KAT2/AadAT Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution, producing a yellow colour whose intensity is proportional to the analyte concentration and is read against a standard curve. The reported product range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.062 ng/ml, and the full protocol is completed in 4h 30m. Recovery in serum (n=5) ranges from 80%-102% with an average of 91%; in EDTA plasma (n=5) from 81%-100% with an average of 90%; and in Heparin plasma (n=5) from 80%-89% with an average of 84%.
