Human Amiloride Sensitive Sodium Channel Subunit Alpha ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com as part of their Assays and Kits range, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the quantitative determination of human Epithelial Sodium Channel alpha (Amiloride Sensitive Sodium Channel Subunit Alpha) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate and follows the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Standards and samples are added to antibody-coated wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Epithelial Sodium Channel alpha Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added for visualisation, producing a blue product that turns yellow after the acidic stop solution; the density of yellow, read at 450 nm on a microplate reader, is proportional to the amount of Epithelial Sodium Channel alpha captured and is quantified against a standard curve.

The kit has a working detection range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.067 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recoveries across n=5 samples are 91% (range 83–100%) for serum, 94% (range 90–98%) for EDTA plasma and 95% (range 89–102%) for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader.
