Human Alpha-Hemoglobin Stabilizing Protein ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com for the quantitative in vitro determination of human Alpha-Hemoglobin Stabilizing Protein (Ahsp) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Results are quantified on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Standards and samples are added to a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) where Ahsp is captured by an immobilised antibody. Detection uses a biotinylated anti-Ahsp antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. The reported sensitivity is 0.055 ng/ml and the working range is 0.156–10 ng/ml; total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Spiked recovery averaged 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity is reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
