Human Alpha-Fodrin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human alpha Fodrin in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other biological fluids. The QuickRun format employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 × 8 well strips) and reduces the total assay time to approximately 2 hours. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance measured at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader.

According to the manufacturer, the assay is specific for alpha Fodrin with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. The standard curve covers a product range of 0.313–20 ng/mL, with a stated sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL. Validated sample dilutions include healthy serum used undiluted and KNS-42 cell lysate at 1:2.

Spike-and-recovery performance has been characterised in serum (n=10, range 85–95%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=10, range 85–100%, average 92%) and heparin plasma (n=10, range 87–99%, average 94%). Dilution linearity has been verified at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 for each matrix. Kit components are shipped at +4°C and stored as instructed in the protocol manual, with freeze/thaw cycles to be avoided.
