Human Alpha-2-Macroglobulin ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human alpha-2-Macroglobulin in serum, plasma, urine or other biological fluids. The pre-coated 96-well microplate is supplied as 12 x 8 well strips, and detection is achieved using a biotinylated anti-alpha-2-Macroglobulin antibody in combination with an HRP-Avidin conjugate, visualised with TMB substrate and read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit is reported to have an assay range of 0.781–50 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.37 ng/ml. Supplied recovery data indicate average recoveries of 91% in serum (range 83–100%, n=5), 96% in EDTA plasma (range 90–103%, n=5) and 94% in heparin plasma (range 90–99%, n=5). Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol manual.
