Human Alpha-1-Microglobulin/Bikunin Precursor ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Alpha 1 Microglobulin/Bikunin Precursor in serum, plasma, urine or other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format, with a total assay time of 4h 30m, and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

An antibody specific to the target is immobilised on the plate. Standards and samples are added and the analyte present is captured. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-alpha 1 Microglobulin Antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added; catalysis produces a blue product that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm and the concentration of alpha 1 Microglobulin is calculated by reference to the standard curve. The assay range is 4.68-300 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 1.8 ng/ml. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date.

Reported spike-and-recovery averages are 91% for serum (range 83-100%), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 90-103%), and 95% for heparin plasma (range 89-102%), each tested at n=5. Sample dilution linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
