Human Alpha-1-Antichymotrypsin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human alpha-1-antichymotrypsin (AACT) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader by measuring absorbance at 450 nm.

Reported sensitivity is 1.42 ng/ml and the assay range is 3.12–200 ng/ml. The protocol employs a biotinylated anti-AACT detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Kit components are stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed.

Manufacturer-supplied validation reports spike-recovery of 80–102% (average 91%) for serum (n=5), 81–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 80–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma (n=5). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions ranges from 74–108% across the same three sample types.
