Human Aldehyde Dehydrogenase 3 Family, Member A1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human ALDH3A1 (Aldehyde Dehydrogenase 3 Family, Member A1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. The total assay time is 4h 30m.

Standards and samples are added to the wells, where ALDH3A1 is captured by an immobilised specific antibody, followed by a biotinylated anti-ALDH3A1 antibody and an HRP–avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that becomes yellow after addition of acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of ALDH3A1 captured. The assay range is 0.781–50 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.27 ng/ml. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.

Recovery and dilution linearity have been characterised for serum (average 91%, range 80–102%), EDTA plasma (average 91%, range 81–101%) and heparin plasma (average 84%, range 80–89%), with dilution linearity assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types.
