Human Aldehyde Dehydrogenase 1 Family, Member A2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human ALDH1A2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) on which an antibody specific for ALDH1A2 captures the analyte from standards and test samples; bound ALDH1A2 is then detected with a Biotinylated Anti-ALDH1A2 Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate that produces a blue product turning yellow after addition of the acidic stop solution. The intensity of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of ALDH1A2 captured in each well, and concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader against the standard curve.

The reported assay range is 0.625–40 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.197 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 h 30 min. Recovery across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n = 5 per matrix) spans 79–108% across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
