Human Alcohol Dehydrogenase 2 ELISA Kit

The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a pre-coated microplate format of 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and test samples are added to wells where ADH1B is captured by an immobilized antibody specific for ADH1B, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-ADH1B Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution produces a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. Reported assay time is 4h 30m, with sensitivity of <6.7 pg/ml and an assay range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml. [S1]

Reported recovery values are 80%-102% (average 91%) in serum (n=5), 81%-100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 80%-89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma (n=5).
