Human Albumin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Albumin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The quantitative assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips. Albumin in standards or test samples is captured by the immobilized specific antibody, then detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Albumin Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate yields a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. The product range is 15.6-1000 ng/ml, sensitivity is 5.8 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery ranges are 80-102% for serum (average 91%), 81-100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%) and 80-89% for heparin plasma (average 84%).

Supplied components include a pre-coated 96 well microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Storage is at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
