Human Agouti Related Protein ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Agouti Related Protein (AGRP) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an antibody specific for AGRP immobilised on the plate. Standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-AGRP Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the enzymatic reaction is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and AGRP concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The reported assay range is 78.1–5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 27 pg/ml, and the full protocol runs for approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Supplied components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Validated recovery in serum averages 91% (range 80–102%, n=5), in EDTA plasma averages 90% (range 81–100%, n=5), and in heparin plasma averages 84% (range 80–89%, n=5).
