Human Afamin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human AFM (Afamin) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a biotinylated anti-AFM detection antibody with HRP-avidin and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The working range is 12.5–800 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <5.92 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. In undiluted samples, reported average recovery is 91% for serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%). Across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, recoveries span 74–107% for serum, 79–108% for EDTA plasma and 82–105% for heparin plasma.

Supplied components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilized standard (2 vials), detection solution A (120 μl), detection solution B (120 μl), 30X wash buffer (20 ml), sample dilution buffer (45 ml), TMB substrate (9 ml), stop solution (6 ml) and plate sealers (5 adhesive strips), stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated.
