Human Adrenomedullin 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human ADM2/AM2 (Adrenomedullin 2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips, with an immobilised antibody specific for ADM2/AM2. Standards and samples are added to the wells; after incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-ADM2/AM2 Antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the analyte concentration is calculated against the standard curve. Reported performance includes a sensitivity of <26.2 pg/ml, a product range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml, and an assay time of 4h 30m.

Spike-and-recovery averages (n=5) are reported as 91% (range 80–102%) for serum, 90% (range 81–100%) for EDTA plasma, and 84% (range 80–89%) for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
