Human Adrenergic Receptor Beta Kinase 1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this human GRK2 ELISA kit employs a sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique for the quantitative measurement of human GRK2 (also referred to as Adrenergic Receptor Beta Kinase 1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate (12 x 8 well strips); standards and samples are added, and GRK2 is captured by the immobilised antibody. Following washing, a biotinylated anti-GRK2 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate are added sequentially, and the reaction is visualised with TMB substrate solution that yields a yellow product after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of GRK2 captured, and the concentration is calculated by reading absorbance at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

According to the manufacturer, the kit has a sensitivity of 0.105 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Reported average recovery values are 91% in serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 91% in EDTA plasma (range 81-101%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5). Dilution linearity is provided at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each).
