Human Adrenergic Receptor Alpha 2C ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human alpha 2c Adrenergic Receptor (ADRA2C) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated anti-ADRA2C detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate, with the colour change read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The density of the yellow product is proportional to the amount of ADRA2C captured in each well.

Quoted performance characteristics include an assay range of 0.625–40 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.237 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery has been evaluated by the manufacturer in serum (n=5, average 91%, range 83%–100%), EDTA plasma (n=5, average 94%, range 90%–98%) and heparin plasma (n=5, average 94%, range 90%–99%). Dilution linearity has also been reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix) at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions.
