Human Adipose Differentiation Related Protein ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Adipose Differentiation Related Protein (ADFP) — also referred to as Perilipin-2, PLIN2, Adipophilin and ADRP — in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate, with detection performed on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

Standards and samples are captured by an immobilised anti-ADFP antibody and detected using a Biotinylated Anti-ADFP Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with the absorbance proportional to ADFP concentration. The measuring range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, the sensitivity is <0.057 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Reported recoveries range from 80–102% in serum, 81–100% in EDTA plasma and 80–89% in heparin plasma (n=5).
