Human Activin A Receptor Type I ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Activin Receptor Type IA in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a 96-well microplate pre-coated with antibody specific for Activin Receptor Type IA. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and bound by the immobilised antibody, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Activin Receptor Type IA Antibody and then an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of target captured in each well, and the concentration of Activin Receptor Type IA is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader against the standard curve.

Detection is quantitative and colorimetric on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips). Reported sensitivity is 0.063 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product is for research use only.
