Antibodies.com offers this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human HPD in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for HPD is pre-coated onto a microplate; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-HPD antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, and HPD concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader against the standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is 1.21 ng/ml with an assay range of 3.12-200 ng/ml and an approximate assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery testing (n=5) gave ranges of 80%-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Linearity is documented across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 for each of these sample types. Reagents are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product is intended for research use only.
