Human 3-Oxoacid Coenzyme A Transferase 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human OXCT1/SCOT (3-Oxoacid Coenzyme A Transferase 1) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate; standards and samples are captured by an immobilised antibody, detected with a biotinylated anti-OXCT1/SCOT antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, and visualised using TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

The reported assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.124 ng/ml. Recovery has been characterised in serum (80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80–89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity is reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for the same matrices. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and not used past the stated expiration date.
