Human 2',5'-Oligoadenylate Synthetase 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human 2',5'-Oligoadenylate Synthetase 2 (OAS2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader and is specific for human reactivity.

The format uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate supplied as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells where OAS2 is captured by the immobilised antibody, followed by incubation with a biotinylated anti-OAS2 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow after addition of the acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and the intensity of the yellow colour is directly proportional to the amount of OAS2 captured. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Performance specifications include a product range of 3.12-200 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <1.24 ng/ml. Reported spike-and-recovery values are 80-102% (average 91%, n=5) in serum, 81-100% (average 90%, n=5) in EDTA plasma and 80-89% (average 84%, n=5) in heparin plasma. Dilutional linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 falls between 87-91% and 92-97% in serum, between 90-105% and 79-108% in EDTA plasma and between 84-95% and 89-91% in heparin plasma.
