Human 2',5'-Oligoadenylate Synthetase 1 ELISA Kit

This Antibodies.com sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human OAS1 in serum, plasma, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for OAS1; standards and test samples are added to the wells, where OAS1 is captured by the immobilized antibody. After incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-OAS1 antibody binds the captured target, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and the concentration of OAS1 is calculated from the absorbance at 450 nm read against a standard curve.

The kit is reactive with human samples and is run as a sandwich (quantitative) colourimetric assay on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips), with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported sensitivity is less than 1.8 ng/ml and the product range is 4.68-300 ng/ml. Validation data provided with the kit report average recovery of 91% in serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5). Linearity has been evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solutions A and B, Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
