From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of human 17-Beta-Hydroxysteroid Dehydrogenase Type 3 (HSD17B3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well plate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with colorimetric readout on a standard microplate reader.

Sensitivity is reported at <6.4 pg/ml across an assay range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Captured HSD17B3 is detected using a biotinylated anti-HSD17B3 antibody, HRP-avidin and TMB substrate, and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Reported average recoveries in spike-and-recovery experiments (n=5) are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 90% for heparin plasma, and dilution linearity was demonstrated from 1:2 to 1:16 across the three sample matrices.
