Human 11-Beta-Hydroxysteroid Dehydrogenase Type 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human 11-Beta-Hydroxysteroid Dehydrogenase Type 1 (HSD11B1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. Supplied by Antibodies.com, the assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a biotinylated anti-HSD11B1 detection antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate. Colour development is achieved with TMB substrate and read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with absorbance proportional to HSD11B1 concentration.

Stated sensitivity is 0.57 ng/ml and the assay range is 1.56–100 ng/ml, with a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes. The manufacturer reports recovery data across serum (n=5, range 83–99%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 80–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 82–99%, average 90%). Dilution linearity is reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with values typically falling within 74–110%.
