Horse TAFI ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit from Antibodies.com for the quantitative determination of horse Carboxypeptidase B2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. Carboxypeptidase B2 is also known by the synonyms TAFI, Thrombin-activable fibrinolysis inhibitor, Carboxypeptidase U, CPB2, CPU, pCPB, and Plasma carboxypeptidase B.

The 4-hour assay uses a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated detection antibody, an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. The antibody pair is reported to be specific for Carboxypeptidase B2 with no cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants.

The standard curve covers a product range of 3.125–200 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL. Recovery ranges across sample types were 88–104% in serum (n=10, average 95%), 90–102% in EDTA plasma (n=10, average 91%) and 87–105% in heparin plasma (n=10, average 93%). The kit is shipped at +4°C; components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed in the protocol manual.
