Horse PLAU ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this assay is a 4-hour sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of horse uPA in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips with an immobilised antibody specific for uPA. After incubation and washing, a biotinylated detection antibody forms an antibody–antigen–antibody sandwich, which is visualised using HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm and compared against a standard curve.

The quantitative sandwich ELISA has a measuring range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of <37.5 pg/mL. It is specific for uPA, with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Average recovery from undiluted samples is 94% in serum, 92% in EDTA plasma and 96% in heparin plasma; at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, recoveries range from approximately 81% to 100% across these matrices. Detection is colorimetric (OD450), the instrument is a microplate reader, and the reactivity is Horse.

The kit is shipped at +4°C with components stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed in the protocol manual. It should not be used past the expiration date, and freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided.
