Horse COR ELISA Kit

This competitive ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of horse Cortisol in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. Reactivity is for horse samples. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate in 12 x 8 well strip format with a colorimetric detection system read at 450 nm on a microplate reader, where the absorbance is inversely proportional to the Cortisol concentration in the sample.

The kit has a reported range of 0.391–25 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.234 ng/mL and is described as specific for Cortisol with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. The two-hour protocol employs a biotinylated anti-Cortisol antibody and an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate visualised with a TMB substrate, with unbound components removed by washing. Reagents are shipped at +4°C, with select components stored at −20°C as outlined in the protocol manual.
