HDAC2 (phospho Ser394) Cell Based ELISA Kit

This Cell-Based ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the indirect in vitro quantitative determination of HDAC2 (phospho Ser394) levels in adherent and suspension cells. The assay captures HDAC2 (phospho Ser394) using Anti-HDAC2 (phospho Ser394) antibodies, which are then detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies to generate a colorimetric signal upon substrate addition.

Three normalization strategies are described. An included Anti-GAPDH antibody serves as an internal positive control for target absorbance values. A Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is used after the colorimetric readout to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be adjusted for plating differences. An Anti-HDAC2 antibody is also provided so that absorbance values for the phosphorylated target can be normalized against those for the non-phosphorylated target.

The kit is reactive with Human (Ser394), Mouse (Ser394), and Rat (Ser452) samples, with no reported cross-reactivity. It is run on a Tissue Culture Treated Microplate with a colorimetric detection format, requires 4 hours 30 minutes to perform, and is intended for samples exceeding 5000 cells. Storage is at +4°C, at which temperature the kit is stable for 3-6 months.
