Guinea pig TIMP-1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of guinea pig TIMP-1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The kit is intended for research use only and should be stored at +4°C.

The assay employs a microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for TIMP-1. Standards and samples are added to the wells and the captured target is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-TIMP-1 Antibody and an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added and the enzymatic reaction is visualised as a colour change, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a microplate reader. The absorbance is proportional to the concentration of TIMP-1 in each sample.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 2.813 pg/ml and an assay range of 4.688–300 pg/ml. All samples should be diluted at least 1:2 with the provided Sample Dilution Buffer prior to use.
