Guinea Pig Interleukin 1 Beta ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of guinea pig Interleukin 1 Beta (IL-1 beta) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with an immobilised anti-IL-1 beta capture antibody, followed by a biotinylated anti-IL-1 beta detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and the intensity of the resulting yellow product is proportional to the amount of IL-1 beta captured in each well. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

Reported performance includes a standard curve range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <25 pg/ml. Spike-and-recovery averages are 91% in serum, 96% in EDTA plasma and 95% in heparin plasma (each n=5, with reported ranges of 83-100%, 90-103% and 89-102% respectively). Linearity has been demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for the same three sample matrices. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
