Guinea Pig Insulin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of guinea pig Insulin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The microplate is pre-coated with Insulin antigen and the assay uses a Biotinylated Anti-Insulin Antibody together with an HRP-Avidin conjugate; colour development is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with a total assay time of approximately 2h 30m.

According to manufacturer documentation, the assay covers a detection range of 141-9000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 64.3 pg/ml. Reported recovery in spiked samples was 80-102% for serum (n=5), 81-100% for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 80-89% for heparin plasma (n=5). Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 ranged from 87-91% to 92-97% for serum, 90-105% to 79-108% for EDTA plasma, and 84-95% to 89-91% for heparin plasma.
