Guinea pig IL-4 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of guinea pig IL-4 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for IL-4, with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants, and is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

The standard range is 7.813–500 pg/mL with a sensitivity of less than 4.688 pg/mL, and the total assay time is approximately 4 hours. Serum and plasma samples should be diluted at least 1:2 with Sample Dilution Buffer prior to testing; validated dilutions include healthy serum at 1:5–1:10 and guinea pig peripheral blood cell culture supernatants (stimulated with 1 µg/mL LPS for 12 hours) used undiluted. Reported recovery ranges are 86–102% for serum, 89–102% for EDTA plasma, and 89–105% for heparin plasma, with corresponding averages of 94%, 95%, and 99%.

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, sample dilution buffer, biotinylated detection antibody, antibody dilution buffer, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, 25X wash buffer, plate sealers, and a zip-sealed foil pouch. The kit is shipped at +4°C and components should be stored at +4°C (or as instructed in the protocol manual); freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
